SKOUT Success: Shandy and KopDar

When Shandy (Skout ID: chenzie) was going through a dark period in her life, she installed Skout. The result? “I founds lots of great friends,” Shandy told us. KopDar is a group of Skouters who meet up every Saturday night and even take trips together.

Shandy, who lives in Indonesia, started chatting with lots of Skouters on Buzz. Because Skout is a geo-location app, these were people who live nearby, so they took their conversations offline and met in person.

This group of Skouters grew so close that they created KopDar – “which means hangout,” Shandy says – and they meet up almost every Saturday night.

KopDar, which has almost 200 members, doesn’t allow just any Skouters – “only those who have respect and are polite to each other,” says Shandy.

Skouters in Indonesia!

Shandy now goes on vacation regularly with her fellow Skouters – they go to the mountains and the sea and also just “hang out, doing crazy stuff.”

“Thank you,” Shandy told us. “I wouldn’t be here, breathing and feeling joy, without Skout.”

Shandy.
