This is nice and all, but it still tells me I’m temporarily suspended, and I’m not a teen. Temporary means a short amount of time, and it’s been over a month. What is going on?

The new Skout app says the unlock feature is 100pts for 24hrs but when you click on it it says 150pts. False advertising! Give it to us for what it says!

This is getting ridiculous. I’m 28 years old, I downloaded an app that I paid for, my account has been suspended according to the app yet I can sign into and use Skout.com – I’ve sent two emails, I’ve left a number of comments here which all disappear and I’ve attempted a Twitter comment and DM which is the other method of contact you suggest – and not one acknowledgment. Even a, “sorry, we’ll look into it” would be great, even if you’re not gonna do anything about it.

I upgraded to the new android skout and have problems now. It won’t log out correctly, I can’t move back and forth in windows. It freezes and shows old information. When i close the application and open it later it doesn’t open to the log in screen, it opens to a random page but its empty and then I have to go to settings and log out to log back in. This is a pain…makes me not want to use skout.

1) I brought Skout+, it won’t even start.
2) I got the free Skout and I don’t remember my old login info, not that I care, but I can’t make an account – and I am 18.
3) Why change the app when it was working. Low blow to the users and honestly the people who run the app.
Can I get some answers? Because this and the teen suspension are jokes, and I shouldn’t be affiliated with it regardless.

With the Skout update, my Skout account has taken over my Flurv account. Can my one email address be used in both Flurv and Skout Apps , again, please. I liked the men I was chatting with on Flurv better.

soooooooo it’s been 3 weeks now since skout went down due to the whole kids get raped because……well not even going into that political discussion. but i have a gf and i was curious to see how my friends that i met on here have done so i redownload the app thinking that it would be up by now. but it isn’t. i understand that u are trying hard to fix the problems in the teen community but if u are that concerned then just get rid of it. but while u debate that in your corporate offices can u get the damn website and app up? bad things happen yes. but i didn’t realise that in the cyber world that it was like kindergarden when kids get punished not only for their own mistakes but for the mistakes of others. fix the app. cut the teen community or at least make it so there’s no way they can meet (like no more distance filtering or anything.), or just log the ip addresses of everybody and have a small amount of people work with law enforcement to make sure that the people who create accounts are who they say they are. it’s not that complicated. (easier said then done yes) but it just seems like u guys dont know what the hell u are doing. not trying to be rude or anything just voicing my opinions, cause i’m bored……cause the site doesn’t work…………..so fix it plz <3 =^.^=

@Vitaliy, Your account isn’t banned, it is temporarily suspended as a part of the teen community. You will be able to sign in once the teen site relaunches.

Location, Location, Location. Before, my location was never accurate but i was able to log onto the website and set it manually to a location a lot closer then what it was showing. Now I can’t even do that. My location is locked on a place that is nowhere near me. The location part has gone from bad to worse. I’ve reported this 5+ times over the past year and have yet to receive a single response. What good is an app that’s supposed to find people close by when 1, it doesn’t show your location even close to where you are, and 2, the people who show up in the search results are excessively too far. I live in South Jersey and half of the results I get are in NY. That does me no good. We should be able to search or at least sort by distance.

Honestly, I’m getting really annoyed with the delay on the relaunch of the teen skout. It’s been a month. I do believe we were garrenteed a short wait. Now my suggestion, focus on getting the teen site back up before renovating the entire site. I am aware that what happened was bad, but there’s really nothing you can do to fix it. If people are going to be that naive and stupid as to meet up with someone they met in an app, that’s their choice. Stop screwing around!! I want my skout back!

You see all these comments from sad teens and that shows that most of the input you get are from teens!! there aren’t many teen dating websites out there and that’s what made this one special. Ok couple of things:
-We need the set location feature back. it is very important to use for searching people in nearby locations but not exact place.
-How do I report a teen putting wrong age, but obviously in their description they put their real age. I think it’s dangerous for them. but your report doesn’t include a place to write details and no choice to select underage person. you need to add other and put description, so one can point out the details. sometimes it is in languages your staff probably can’t understand, so one can give you hint in the description.
-The unblock feature doesn’t work seems when there is mutual block. I have managed to block someone in revenge for their blocking. and now they don’t show up in the list.
@aaa, Thanks for your comments. In response to your teen comment, after you hit ‘Report’, scroll down a little. The ‘Underage content’ report option is the last one on the list. Your idea about a small text field is a good one. However, we have a lot of international staff and cover quite a few languages.

The new one is so glitchy and so much harder to nagivate! I wish I could go back to the old one! I accidemtly delete messages that I don’t wanna delete bc the screen moves as im editing! @Chelsea, when is the teen community going to relaunch?, i was having a conversation with a guy who made me feel happy when i was depressed. and it has been a month since the teens have been suspended and it is getting ridiculous with all the “Skout will relaunch the teen community shortly” stuff. some of my friends IRL have Skout and they all agree that this is getting to be a bit much. we would sincerely appreciate it if you got your act together and fixed the safety instead of changing the app completely

I am not a teen. I should be able to log into my account on my iPod, but I can not. I am really upset over this. I can still log on through my computer via your website but honestly it is not the way I wanted to use skout. I just want to know if something is wrong with my account or is it a glitch in the app? I tried to appeal it but I haven’t gotten a response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn’t work. this is the second comment I left. I don’t think the first one got published though. it is in moderation or something. but other comments are getting published. oh well hopefully this works! I just really want to use skout again!

I’m seriously considering deleting this app.
In the older version, the app could relaunch to the chat section or the main menu if the user exit from these sections by clicking the home button on android device. Now the “near by ppl” grid must always be launched meaning at least 1mb of data usage on each launch. Have you ever consider preserving mobile data usage?
The app is deleting my photos taken on the beach after the update while other people can use underware, torso, faceless pictures. I hate how this app is screening photos!
@Drake Orfeo, What kind of Droid are you using? I have an HTC Inspire and when I exit with the home button, then reopen Skout, it goes to the last screen I was on.

@andy, It took me a few hours to get used to, but I think it’s a lot faster than the old navigation. Thanks for your feedback! We’ve gotten mixed opinions about the swipe nav.

@Chelsea – I can sign on via the website and my iPad when I hav it with me but not my iPhone. Teen community free to use again, updated app – like I said, 28 and never one anything wrong but my iPhone still cannot log on via the app. What is going on??

You should add the preferences back. Like if you want to look for whites, africans, asians, hispanic, etc. and search for ehat age group you want.
I am using another app of skout, boyahoy. The “meet ppl” is not completely hiding, just slide to the side, though u r in the chat section, it would reload from time to time or when u click back from one of the dialogues (back to the chat list). You don’t see it doesn’t mean that i preserving data.
And I have given up uploadingack my beach photos that have been deleted after the upgrade. I’ve seen “inappropriate” photos in other’s profile. The photo screening mechanism is problematic.
Does anyone know how to delete a status update you don’t want to show up on your profile anymore?
And u cannot control when Java releases the held resources, say revisiting after 1 hr of normal usage will cause the app to start from the “meet ppl” section

The new skout update sucks bring back the old skout or I’m not using it. You should have learned from myspace. You worry too much about changing it and noone likes it.

@Dan, You should be able to sign in now. Your account was automatically closed because of a message you were spamming to many people, but I can see the message is fine, so I have reopened the account.
This whole new location thing is dumb, you say people are within 100 miles but people are from all over the country

Like Facebook, Skout is putting all of your comments out there for people to see when they visit your profile. I don’t want people to be able to read everything I comment on. Is there a way thu can be deleted off your profile page without having to delete the original comment?

How does “Look at Me” work? How do I get to be on top of the list? Is it just a system where bid high prices to be near the top? Do I win anything for being on the top? Does it give me a higher chance of winning something if I bid a high price?
@Thằng Mễ, Bidding on Look at Me is like bidding for exposure on the site. The more Points you bid, the higher up you’ll be on the wall and the bigger your photo will be. You’re more way more likely to get messages and meet new people if you put yourself on the Look at Me wall.
Thanks for answering my questions, Chelsea. I agree with Steve and Jessw on the issue regarding users’ ability to delete posts on their own profiles. That way, users will be able to choose to whatever they want others to see.
@Chelsea… I’m trying to login but says my information is incorrect… Then when I try forgot password it says invalid email address. I have 2 email addresses and can’t remember which one ive got an active account with. Then if I try to register with either email it won’t let me saying they are both valid email addresses! Help please!!!
@Steamy, Looks like you deactivated your account (registered to the email address from which you’re posting). I have reopened it, so you should be able to sign in now.

I don’t like this new Skout
. Nothing works properly. My pictures don’t load so I can’t even tell if they’re on or not and I get logged out every time I close the app. Its getting really annoying to have to log in every time when I didn’t log out in the first place.
@bri, Thank you for reporting these issues. We are working on them now. Soon, you will be able to see all your photos and you won’t have to verify with Facebook every time you sign in.
Hi , for some reason , I cannot see all the photos I uploaded , only my profile photo . I would like to see the comments people wrote . Do you think you could tell me why that’s happening ? Or maybe you could fix my account .. Please help
@Francesca, Thanks for reporting this. We are working on fixing it at the moment. Other people can see the photos, but at the moment, there is a bug where you cannot see them.
Has anyone figured out how to delete buzz stuff like last status updates and comments ?

@Katelynn, Android: At the top of your Chat inbox, there is an ‘Edit’ button. If you tap that, you will be able to delete individual chats. iPhone: Swipe right along a specific chat, and you will see a Delete button, like on most iPhone applications.
I move from country to country. Presently in Australia but my location still says Dubai and I’m getting ppl from all over Dubai. But who do i do with them?

@KMJ, We had some problems with push notifications on Android over the weekend (September 1st and 2nd), but they are working 100% now. You can also manage your notification settings by going to SETTINGS (on the left menu), then NOTIFICATIONS.

@bri, If you are 13-17, you are unable to change your Search settings. If you are 18+, on the Meet People screen, tap the magnifying glass that says “Search”.
I would like to know why do we have to show people our exact location of the place where we live I don’t like this app for that exact reason and for not having the feature to change it.
@Raquel, We never show your exact location. Also, if you turn the GPS on your phone OFF, your Skout location will not update.

@David, You must contact us to change the age on your profile. You can send us a private message on Facebook.com/Skout or email support@skout.com with your account’s linked email and your date of birth.

Very happy I solved the issue that Scout PC was fixed on the wrong location in the wrong country
Installed Bluestacks Android app player on the PC and ran skout in that, all fixed 
The location services are a joke!! One, it doesn’t even display them correctly. Two, you can no longer change them using the PC. Three, you can’t even activate GPS location services on the mobile anymore either!!! WTH?? So I’m stuck with it saying I’m in a completely different country!!
@Abbi, You are actually using a suuuper old version of the app. If you update to the current version (3.1) and have GPS turned ON on your iPhone, your location should update automatically.
Im new here, but when i signed up my location from indonesia till couple hours ago, but now my location from Jienyan, CN. How the hell even i got there? i dont know how to change it back. n i cant chat with people from my nearest location.
@blueskies, Hm, that is strange. Are you using Skout on your phone? If so, as long as you have GPS (location services) on, your location should update automatically.

I know people are asking “How” but it’s a matter of “When” are we going to be able to monitor our own Buzz status, hence delete our previous or any Buzz status update we post? It’s annoying to see given gifts on my profile/Buzz or uploaded photos when they are already in your photo section of the profile and old status messages posted still lingering around….
